Maki Sushi demos at Williams-Sonoma in NYC

Here is the movie of 2 days NYC Maki Sushi demos for @williamssonoma @wscolumbuscircle @wsmadisonave. Ham and Cheese Danish

Use your favorite cheese for this yummy breakfast danish. The Sharpness and tanginess of mustard holds everything together.
Also try my Cream Cheese Danish.




Ham and Cheese Danish

·      1 frozen pie sheet, defrosted
·      4 to 8 slices of ham
·      4 slices of gruyere cheese or any cheese
·      2 teaspoons of dijon mustard (½ teaspoon x4)
·      mayonnaise (½ teaspoon x4)
·      1 egg wash

1.     Preheat the oven to 400°F (200 ).
2.     Cut the pie sheet into 4.
3.     Spread mustard on 4 pie sheets.


4.     Spread mayonnaise on 4 pie sheets.


5.     Place ham and cheese on the pie sheets. (The picture is Swiss cheese.)


6.     Brush some egg wash on 4 sides of the pie sheet. Fold in half and press the edges with a fork to seal.


7.     Cut few slits with a sharp knife and brush some egg wash on top.


8.     Bake for 20 minutes until the Danish turns golden brown.



9.     Let it cool on a rack. Serve.

Honey Rusks

Very tasty homemade rusks you just can’t help but to reach for another piece! The honey is the key to this recipe and it is very easy to make.



Honey Rusks

·      French Break (Baguette)
·      Butter, room temperature
·      Honey
·      Granulated Sugar

1.     Preheat the oven to 300°F (150 ).
2.     Slice bread into ½-inch pieces.



3.     Bake the bread for 5 min each on both sides.



4.     Mix the butter and honey. Taste the mix so you have enough sweetness. Add more honey if necessary.




5.     Generously spread the butter mix on one side of the bread. Sprinkle granulated sugar on top using a spoon.

6.     Continue to bake in the 300°F (150 ) oven for an additional 15 to 20 minutes until its crispy.

Cream Cheese Danish

Make you own cream cheese danish at home! It’s easy to make and perfect for breakfast or snack.




Cream Cheese Danish

·      ½ box (110g) of cream cheese, room temperature
·      3 tablespoons of granulated sugar
·      1 tablespoon of lemon zest
·      1 sheet of pie sheet, defrosted
·      1 egg, separate the egg yolk and egg white
·      1 teaspoon of vanilla essence

1.     In a bowl, mix cream cheese and granulated sugar until it’s smooth.



2.     Add egg yolk, lemon zest and vanilla essence and continue to mix well.



3.     Cut the pie sheet into 4.



4.     Divide the cream cheese mix into 4, and spread each portion on each pie sheet.



5.     Brush the egg white on 4 sides of the pie sheet and fold each side so that the pie sheet covers part of the filling.



6.     Place a cooking sheet on a pan. Place danish on top and let it rest in the fridge for 15 minutes. Preheat oven to 400 (200).
7.     Bake the danish in the oven for about 20 minutes until they are golden brown.




8.     Let the danish cool on a rack.




9.     Serve with coffee if you like.
